Victorinox
This will – hopefully – be the greatest tool you'll never have to use! Like most of the products from Victorinox, it was designed for a specific purpose. In this case, it's getting out of a car after an accident. It was designed in collaboration with EMT and Fire Rescue services to determine what's needed in most cases.
There's a pointed tip for puncturing the glass; a coarse saw for cutting through and enlarging the glass once there's a hole; a special rounded blade for cutting the belt; not to mention the usual awl, Phillips and slot screwdriver heads and can opener. All of this in a hard-to-miss emergency yellow and useful for both right and left handers. It's also a size and heft that's effective even in gloved hands. While I've not had to use the tool for it's intended purpose – thankfully! - just having it in the glove box is a comforting feeling.
Talk about merging "old school" with modern technology! Here's a fully-functional pen knife blade, hole punch, screwdriver and file combined with a 4 GB flash drive and a laser pointer, all wrapped in the traditional Swiss Army Knife design. How can it be more useful and versatile than that – not to mention FUN! By the way, if you make presentations with the flash drive and want to use the laser pointer, the flash drive easily comes off the body of the knife
