Review: Timex Watches

Fifty Sense Seal of Approval

We all grew up with Timex watches and just like us, they haven't been sitting around. Once you visit their web site, you can see they are determined to continue to make affordable, dependable watches that keep up with the demands of watches doing more. We love that they haven't forgotten their roots. Who but Timex would think of analog watches that are multifunctional.

Health Touch Heart Rate Monitor Watch

What a great way to keep track of your heart trate and stay in shape! Finally, you don’t have to wear a band around your chest because this handy HRM reads your heart rate at the touch of your finger, giving you the data you need to push yourself further. It is not just a heart rate monitor. You can target your one heart rate zone with an alert.

We use this as an all purpose watch because the features are easy to read, night and day with the Indiglo night light, it has a stop watch feature and an alarm. It even has a second time zone feature. We found this watch was easy to set up and use. How nice that the activity mode uses an exercise timer to track active time and calories burned.

Expedition Compass

Timex states that this it the world's only collection of analog adventure instruments. We loved the simplicity of this watch. In this age, it is hard to find technical instruments that we can use without instructions. You pull the tab out half way for a change in date, all the way to set the time, push in for indiglo, and use either of the side buttons to activate the compass.

This patented collection integrates technical and reliable outdoor tools into sophisticated and stylish analog watch designs that can be worn anywhere from the mountains to the boardroom. All E-Instruments™ have a durable stainless steel or titanium case, an indiglo night light and are water resistant to 100 meters.

This watch is clean, intuitive and classic with a built-in digital compass sensor, equipping you to take the road less traveled. After a simple calibration process, including the ability to set your local declination angle to ensure accuracy regardless of location, this watch functions as a guide in the wilderness, or a stylish statement on your wrist anywhere. Although the watch head is large, our women reviewers felt it was very fashionable and loved wearing it every day.
