Review: Propét Sandals
Since its beginning in 1985, Propét has been driven by a mission to offer quality footwear for hard-to-fit feet or feet in need of special care—offering a large selection of widths and sizes and styles specifically designed to address foot ailments. Propét is well known for its TravelWalker collection—popular for their comfort and versatility—and its Propét Preferred line of therapeutic footcare products.
In collaboration with its podiatric advisors, Propét has recently developed the patent-pending Rejuve footwear collection to bring revolutionary technology to footcare. Rejuve Motion Technology works by enhancing natural gait and helps to alleviate foot and lower body pain often associated with over-pronation and the improper functioning of the foot. These all are more important as we age and lose fat pads on the bottom of our feet.
We tested the Helen Rejuve sandal in Denim Blue and instantly fell in love with them. The Nubuck upper with comfort padding allowed these sandals to be comfortable from day one. We walked for miles the first day and had no tender spots. The three hook and loop closures at forefoot, instep and heel areas allowed for ease in use and full adjustability.
We love how the High-performance rubber outsole provides traction and durability for long-lasting support along with the cushioning EVA midsole for all-day comfort and support. The Rejuve Motion Technology&trade topsole with microfiber sock lining obviously works very well. How nice to see a company continuing to improve their products!
Propet has introduced a line of sandals using their Rejuve Motion Technology. The premise is that the u-shaped design built into their advanced sole system is contoured to provide a stabilizing force to enhance the natural gait and thus provide comfort and support all day long. This design has been incorporated into a 4-part sole system.
The Anderson model is quite comfortable indeed! The three hook-and-loop closures at forefoot, instep and heel allow for great adjustability for comfort. Those of us with high arches will appreciate this ability to find just the right fit. These upper straps are padded leather. The topsole also has a microfiber sock lining that might actually lead some to forego the dreaded “sock n’ sandal look”! The outsole provides more traction than most sandals and makes them extremely versatile in all weather and environmental conditions.
