Chaco Sandals and Shoes
Chaco quickly became a favorite sandal because it give support and comfort, yet is stylish. With the assistance of a certified pedorthist, They designed the contours of our footbed to control pronation and maximize performance. Their BioCentric™ footbed ensures a supported, comfortable stride in any activity and as a result, has been awarded the Seal of Acceptance by the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA).
Most of us are familiar with Chaco sandals, but we were very pleased at the quality of their shoes. These shoes have become one of our favorites. They have the clean and classic Chaco fit. The Zaagh Baa slip-ons will keep you protected and happy during your winter excursions. Many slip ons are not that easy to get on yet we found we can slip these on without bending over. We love how the midsole creates the contoured LUVSEAT™ platform, providing lasting arch support and alignment for a lovely ride. The Vibram® outsole is built to handle a mix of winter conditions to keep you fit for your adventures. The full grain leather upper and stretch Gore provide great looks with comfort. This is a shoe you want to wear all day.
The Ecotread combines comfort and quality in a flirty flip style gladiator sandal. Featuring the adjustable leather straps and the well-known LUVSEAT platform it performs like your favorite pair of Chacos should.

Chaco continues to improve on the basic design. With a BioCentric™ footbed and sock-friendly open-toe design this sandal provides a level of comfort and performance seldom found in a sport sandal. A single buckle and 360° Wrap-Fit adjustable straps hold feet securely in every condition. It has an open-toe design for those of us who don't want anything between the toes, the BioCentric™ footbed, and Vibram® Unaweep outsole with all-purpose TC-1 rubber compound.
The heel-leash for front-back stability, and the 360° wrap-fit adjustable straps gives us a sandal that is comfortable all day and easy to adjust as the foot changes. It seems like at our age, sometimes the foot is in great shape and other times, it is swollen, so easy adjustment means support for every occasion. The fit is so secure, we have forded rivers with these not falling off!
With a focus on forefoot control, the Z/2® features a wrap-around toe loop that keeps your feet locked to the footbed. With an easily adjusted pull-through strap system you can insure that it will fit your foot specifically.The Vibram Idro grip sole gives this sandal more stability on wet or inverted surfaces. I put these to the test on an incredible canoe trip that required a significant amount of hiking around on both wet and dry rocks, as well as path walking.
My feet went from dry to wet and not once did I loose stability due to the sandals. I never experienced rubbing from the straps when they were wet thanks to the soft polyester webbing that dries quickly.
I find that I am reaching for these sandals as not only a performance piece, but as my everyday go to as well!
When first trying out the Zong, the tester has a very high arch and it took awhile to fit the sandal, never having worn Chaco sandals before. He also has never had a sandal with anything between his toes. Once he got the fit correct and got used to the strap between the toes, he was surprised how comfortable and stable the sandal became. The convenience of being able to slip into the sandal added to the appeal.
Having the toe loop, he soon realized that this gave added stability for side to side forefoot stability. We love the fact that Chaco has outsoles featuring 25% recycled rubber. Chaco has a unique strap concept which once understood, allows the reader to feel more confident in the stability of the sandal.
